WBT Interviews etrieve's Mike Maerz Chairman and CEO
Recently WBT's editorial director Jeremy Geelan had the opportunity to sit
down with Mike Maerz, chairman and CEO of etrieve, the Oregon-based wireless
e-mail management service for mobile professionals.
WBT: How would you characterize etrieve in a nutshell?
MM: etrieve is a company that extends the office from behind the firewall to
the phone, and puts the user in control. The user can then interact with his
or her office e-mail, calendar, and address book - either by voice, text, or
fax. The user gets to personalize the ser-vice, set some rules for operation,
and retrieve information in a secure and seamless way.
How are you rolling it out? Are you supplying it to carriers, to end users,
what's the strategy?
